If you're subscribed to the RSS feed, there's a good chance you just got a load of duplicate posts.
The reason is that I just switched blogging platforms from Squarespace to Wordpress.
All comments and trackbacks have been preserved, but the switchover resulted in new GUIDs for posts, which means Feedburner thought all the posts were new.
Sorry about that! I know it screws up your reading patterns. Shouldn't happen again.
New post tomorrow.

Not a problem. I’m enjoying rereading your posts. There aren’t too many blogs I’d say that about. :-)
Just curious: why the move from Squarespace? And why Wordpress instead of Typepad (or one of the others)?

Yeah I should probably write that up properly… quick answers:
- no ability to customize anything about the interface. Notice how now things like the retweeter widget is automatic, and notice the new front page layout.
- no fun stuff with comments like Gravatars, threaded conversations, “recent comments” in the sidebar, etc.. Better comments mean better conversations.
- I was getting a ton of spam comments and Squarespace sucks at letting you manage them or block obvious words.
- Ability to back up everything
- Stylistic control over the RSS feed, since that’s where most people read this blog regularly.
- SEO control for pages (e.g. titles, meta-description)
So why not e.g. Typepad? I wanted a lot of the plugins for Wordpress and I didn’t mind hosting it myself.
I was just going to mention that I like the new features… most noticeably the threaded comments. Looking forward to your post for why Wordpress vs. other platforms.
pretty decent of you to apologize. But I really liked going back through your posts once again. Good luck, with wordpress.
And maybe you should switch platforms every 3 or 4 months so that we can get a recap ;) Just kiddin of course.

I didn’t get any duplicate posts… I’ve had to star them all in Google reader so I can read them twice that way!
Fantastic blog, I only discovered it this week and already feel so much wiser for it! I feel like I should be paying you commission (except then I wouldn’t be able to afford your advice!)

Ha! Thanks so much! If there’s any topics you’d especially like to see, let me know.
I put to much thought in and over-wrote the whole thing. ,
yeah, a similar thing happened to me when I changed the number of posts that my RSS feed holds. No chance in getting the duplicates off either.
Also, I was in DevDays Austin yesterday and your presentation was awesome.

Cool, do you live in Austin? Maybe I’ll see you around. Thanks for the kind words!
No, I live/work in the Dallas area so I just drove down the night before.
2 Questions if you don’t mind:
1) was that you in the panda suit?
2) I took audio of your talk and was wondering if I could post it on my blog. Do you mind?
(Special bonus question) If your answer to #2 is “yes” then would you mind sending me your slides or anything else you want me to include with the post for your talk.
The email on this reply is valid.
Thanks man.

Sure!
1. No, it was Nik; I think someone else took a turn at some point too.
2. Please do post it! I’ll shoot you the slides over email. When it’s up send me the link so I can shoot it around. I wonder if Joel did audio/video too?
Thanks!
1. Tell Nik he’s awesome.
2. I’ll let you know when it’s up.
To my knowledge, there was no “official” audio/video taken (kind of a shame actually.) I had my video recorder too but it was to dang inconvenient to actually use in that theater.
Luckily, I was able to get audio of every speaker and I’m going to upload everything so the people who weren’t there can at least benefit a little.
